Sister DedraAnn
Sister DedraAnn is a teacher and artist. She has worked with youth, children, and families with almost 20 years in ministry and with the public school system. She currently works with at-risk youth in a local high school. She also volunteers with the Diocese of Olympia’s Youth Program. As an artist-in-residence at her church, she creates every day and views the world with an eye for beauty in all things. She believes that art of any kind is one of the most powerful ways we connect with the Creator. Sister DedraAnn is a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Kent, Washington
Sister Marcia Elizabeth – Almoner
Sister Marcia Elizabeth is a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Kent, Washington.
Sister Grace-Teresa
Sister Grace-Teresa is a Spiritual Companion and an active member of St. Mark’s Cathedral, Seattle, Washington where she serves as chalice bearer. Her education is in literature and education, especially in the processes of personal and professional transformation. Sister Grace is active in hospitality and contemplative prayer, and is a beginning iconographer. She longs to live into the charism of Clare and Francis.
Sister Dorothy-Anne – Deputy Guardian and Treasurer
Sr. Dorothy-Anne’s life has been shaped by her years as our second Mother Guardian. Building the beloved community has long been her focus. She is active in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Seattle, Washington following her passionate love of Jesus Christ as a healing minister and Eucharist visitor. She is an active member of her church social justice committee and works in her church library. (She connects with the Greater Seattle Council of Church and peace movement though long-time membership in the Fellowship of Reconciliation and Episcopal Peace Fellowship.) She stays quiet with lectio reading, meditation, icon writing, watercolor painting, and yoga. She is a trained spiritual director.
Sister Kathryn-Mary – Mother Guardian and Vocations Guardian
Sister Kathy professed in 2009. Sister Kathy gathers our community for a weekly on-line intercessory prayer meeting. She is a wife, a mother and a grandmother. She also works helping to encourage contemplative life in her church community by participating as a leader in Centering Prayer and other Contemplative liturgical offerings. She recently moved to Olympia, WA where she is now an active member of St. Christopher’s Community Church and also serves at St. John’s Episcopal Church. She is certified as a mentor for Education for Ministry and as a Listening Hearts discernment process facilitator.
Sister Patrice Hilda – Formation Guardian
Sister Patrice Hilda is a member of Prince of Peace Episcopal Church, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where she is actively exploring a call to service in the Feeding, Children’s Programs, Social Justice and other ministries. Her hobbies include gardening, caring for elderly pets, weaving and Celtic harp playing. –
Sister Mary-Olivia – Retired
Sister Mary-Olivia is a member of St. Antony of Egypt Episcopal Church in Silverdale, Washington.
Sister Mary-Agnes – Retired
Sister Mary-Agnes is a member of St Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edmonds and serves as a Lay Chaplain, (Stevens Minister), at Crista Sr. Living in Shoreline.
Sister Mary-Louise – Retired
Sister Mary-Louise Sulonen is an active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church on Bainbridge Island, Washington, and serves as a choir member, lay reader, Reiki Team member, and Women’s Group member. Sister Mary-Louise’s education includes a B.A. in Music, an M.A. in Early Childhood Education Specializing in Montessori Education. Sister Mary-Louise has taught Public School Music and private piano, and has taught for 18 years in Montessori Education. She enjoys retirement, serving in the Healing ministry, playing in a recorder quartet, and participating in church life at St. Barnabas.
Sister Mary-Louise cherishes fond memories of being an active member of LSSC for many years.
Novice Jamie
Novice Jamie is enjoying living, loving and learning. As a retired Sheep Farmer and gardener, she misses her daily connection to the land and the seasons, but still has her Assistance Dog. She is a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Kent, Washington where she serves with the Altar Guild, shares in the Flower Domain, and is active in many activities through the Pastoral Care Commission. She enjoys serving for the greater glory of God.
